MORE and more people are choosing Scotland's cities for holiday visits.
Glasgow also saw a rise of 15.6% to 359, 995, while Inverness saw a staggering 24.4% rise of 275, 587 visits from abroad.
That increase saw the Highland city move ahead of Manchester in fifth place in the list of the UK’s most-visited locations for holidays.

Fort William also saw an increase of 23.1% to 120, 859 visits, while Stirling, St Andrews and Perth all saw a rise in holiday visits in 2015.
Tourism in the UK as a whole seems to be on the rise with the overall number of holidays increasing by 4.6% from 11.6m in 2014 to 12.2m in 2015.
The figures do not include so-called ‘business tourism’ - including international conferences and professional meet-ups.
The data comes from the annual International Passenger Survey, which asks people entering the UK various questions about the purpose of their visit.
