Whilst this isn t an exhaustive guide on architectural time periods, the timeline below offers the most often recognisable periods of building style in the UK. Edwardian 1901 - 1914 Strictly speaking, the Edwardian period falls during the brief reign of King Edward VII, from 1901 to 1910. He was Professor of Architecture at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Stuttgart from 1995 to 2001 and Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor of Architectural Design at Yale University in 2011, and he has taught and lectured worldwide at schools of architecture in Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
